This is my first time hosting the carnival; thanks for making it a success. This post is a little late, but I just got married last week and am only now getting the chance to get back to a regular schedule. We had some great posts this month:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/theactionpoint.wordpress.com\/2010\/08\/03\/rpg-blog-carnival-teaching-the-game\/\">The Action Point<\/a> offers some ideas on how teaching a game can actually improve your GMing.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.penandthesword.com\/blog\/?p=341\">Pen and the Sword<\/a> give some advice on how to teach the game to beginners.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/blog2.moebiusadventures.com\/2010\/08\/09\/rpg-blog-carnival-teaching-the-game\/\">Moebius Adventures<\/a> talks about introducing kids to roleplaying.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.realityrefracted.com\/2010\/08\/rpg-blog-carnival-teaching-hobby.html\">Reality Refracted<\/a> offers a step-by-step guide to introducing new players to the hobby without scaring them off.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.exchangeofrealities.com\/2010\/08\/16\/teaching-a-new-system-keeping-the-players-interest\/\">Exchange of Realities<\/a> has some advice on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.exchangeofrealities.com\/2010\/08\/16\/teaching-a-new-system-keeping-the-players-interest\/\">coaxing players to try a new system<\/a> and on how to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.exchangeofrealities.com\/2010\/08\/18\/teaching-a-new-game-a-matter-of-need-to-know\/\">slowly ease players into it<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/satyrelite.blogspot.com\/2010\/08\/flattening-learning-curve.html\">Fame and Fortune<\/a> gives some tips on how to make learning a news system easier.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/greyhawkgrognard.blogspot.com\/2010\/08\/introductory-quick-start-and-basic.html\">Greyhawk Grognard<\/a> discusses the usefulness of quick-start or introductory game rules.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/greyhawkgrognard.blogspot.com\/2010\/08\/introductory-quick-start-and-basic.html\">The Nine and Thirty Kingdoms<\/a> offers a tutorial on how to get new players immersed in a game quickly.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Again, thanks to everyone who participated.
