I've rarely used a battlemat, so I've found this product to be extremely helpful. I like the idea of writing damage results on the battlemat -- makes it clear who's taken hits.

Thanks for the tips.

I'm playing in a 4e game where the DM is using one of these, and I kept wondering who made it and how much it cost! Thanks for filling me in. Off to order one right away!

That is a nice product.

We use a battle mat and write down the initiative sequence down on that. It makes updating it for delayed actions etc very easy.

As a group, we have found it easiest if one of the players takes control of tracking initiatives. It takes a little work off the GM and speeds up the game.

We take the same approach on monster damage as well with players writing the total damage done to each foe on the battlemat. Again this reduces the GM's workload and increases the speed of the game.
